Blood Orange Margaritas
SERVES: 2 margaritas
It's National Margarita Day!!!!
Okay okay, no one really cares. It feels like every day is some food holiday and it just all becomes a blur, right?
Well, when my darling friend Greta told me that today was national margarita day she first and simply asked me if I liked margaritas. "Of course!" I said, while the vision of us out together, connecting over a yummy something away from work, kids, and routines popped into my head. I got excited and all she did was ask me if I liked margaritas! Then it hit me. It's not about the margaritas, or any national food day for that matter. It's about the connections made while enjoying them. It's about finding absolutely any excuse to put down our phones and pour out our hearts. So my challenge to you today is this, call (don't text) your mom, your daughter, your sister, or your best friend. Invite her over to celebrate the holiday, and lovingly prepare these yummy (and seasonal!) margaritas for you two to enjoy. And when she's there and you two are laughing and loving and healing each other's souls, you'll know you're truly celebrating something special.
Cheers my friend, I hope you enjoy this one.
